If so, the University of Southern Maine is seeking applicants for an Admissions Counselor II .

    Admissions Counselors educates first-year, adult, transfer, and graduate students, as well as parents/family members, and school counselors, about the University of Southern Maine and the college selection, application, and admissions process. This primary focus for this position is working with graduate students, graduate faculty and supporting the overall graduate admission process, from the inquiry to enrolled stages. This position does require extensive travel and requires extended hours including evenings and weekends, during various time periods.

    This is a full-time position with an annual salary of up to $45,301. These positions are located on the Portland and Gorham campus' with duties in Lewiston as needed. The work schedule is based primarily during business hours and may require evening and weekend on-call responsibilities.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree with one-year previous work experience in college admissions
    • Must hold a valid motor vehicle driver’s license with proper insurance compliant with Maine requirements.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy loads.
