Schedule: Sunday - Friday (5/8s 40 - 50 hours) Pay: $26.00 - $29.00/hr. plus excellent Benefits

General Summary: The AM Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing and assigning tasks to ensure work is done in an accurate and timely manner. The Supervisor is responsible for setting an example for behavior and attitude for the workgroup and providing the proper training to meet and exceed goals for accuracy, productivity, and time management. The supervisor will engage with employees and increase morale. They will create a positive work environment and motivate their team to be successful. The supervisor must utilize a sense of urgency approach to their duties and instructions from their manager.
The Warehouse Supervisor participates in developing floor-level employees for long-term success and team cohesiveness. Attention to detail is critical and this person will ensure that all processes are maintained and effectively executed. This role will hold staff accountable and recommend and sometimes administer progressive discipline for less severe issues. This role requires exceptional communication and the ability to communicate issues clearly, in detail, and without prompt. They will be able to balance these requirements while holding the team accountable to increasing productivity and operational throughput. The supervisor is responsible for driving production standards in their assigned area of the operation to meet and exceed operational KPI’s. They will focus on the fundamentals and assist with continuous improvement (5S, Gemba, other LEAN activities) to eliminate waste and increase efficiency.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides leadership to the AM warehouse, monitors productivity of employees, and manages the warehouse flow of operations.
Essential Job Functions - Assign, monitor and review daily receiving team to ensure standards are being met
- Assign work for replenishment and putaway of inbound freight
- Ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced warehouse environment
- Ensure the employees are fully trained in all safety, productivity and quality aspects of the job
- Monitor, post, and review daily productivity to ensure that standards are being met
- Ensure maximum fill rate by managing replenishment priorities
- Assign and monitor daily clean up
- Conduct audits for rotation
- Lead by example and build a culture of safety
- Manage supplies needed for the department
- Ensure procedures are followed to prevent damage and theft
- Communicate to I.C. and Management on slotting needs and holding power
- Responsible for maintaining team’s productivity standards
- Responsible for documentation and communication of employee issues to Manager
- Investigate incidents and injuries and determine root causes with Manager
- Build a culture of care and concern for company resources
- Supervise replenishment team on PM shift through pre shift meetings and the PM Replen Lead
- Provide reach truck and RF scanner training for new hires
- Use WMS to monitor work progress, productivity, and other related work functions
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities - Knowledge of warehouse production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective processing, product flow and distribution of warehouse goods.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Skilled using a PC and familiar with Microsoft Office products.
- Skilled in using time efficiently and attention to detail.
- Skilled in leading a team and organizing company equipment and resources.
- Ability to communicate openly, clearly, and professionally
- Ability to read, write, and do simple arithmetic.
- Ability to work well with other employees to foster a respectful and professional work environment.
Education And Experience - High School Diploma
- Two years’ experience in a Distribution Center environment or 1 year experience supervising a group of 10+ employees in a fast-paced environment.
