Job Description

We are hiring an Animal Health Laboratory Worker (Histology Technician) for one of our clients in Ewing, NJ .

Job Description:

• Initiates animal tissue dissection and grossing;
• Conducts tissue processing, embedding, and staining maintains orderly storage systems for paraffin blocks, frozen blocks, and finished slides;
• Maintains the inventory of supplies in pathology;
• Maintains supplies of fixatives, solvents, materials, and other supplies for preservation and processing of tissues into completed routine slides;
• Prepares, maintains, and files lab records, observations, and worksheets;
• Assists in specimen receiving, preparation, and examination;
• Updating or retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested.

Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement:

• Histo technician (HT) or Histo technologist (HTL) certification or eligibility for certification issued by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

Work hours:

• 8:45 AM 4:45 PM
• Lunch Duration: 1 Hour Unpaid
