The Dallas Bulls are seeking a certified and dedicated Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive athletic health care services to players, focusing on injury prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance optimization. The Athletic Trainer plays a key role in supporting the physical well-being of the athletes and ensuring they are healthy, game-ready, and performing at their peak.
Injury Prevention & Player Care
Develop and implement injury prevention programs, including warm-ups, cool-downs, and maintenance protocols.
Conduct musculoskeletal assessments and screenings to identify potential risk factors.
Provide immediate care for acute injuries and coordinate emergency response when necessary.
Rehabilitation & Treatment
Design and manage customized rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
Administer therapies such as modalities, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise in coordination with medical staff.
Monitor and document players’ progress throughout recovery and communicate updates to coaching and medical staff.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with team physicians, physical therapists, strength & conditioning coaches, and nutritionists to deliver integrated care.
Serve as a liaison between players, coaches, and medical professionals regarding health and injury updates.
Participate in team meetings and provide input on player availability and physical readiness.
Record Keeping & Compliance
Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records for all athletes.
Ensure compliance with league rules, team protocols, and federal/state health regulations.
Stay current with best practices and continuing education requirements.
Event & Travel Support
Provide coverage for all practices, games, and team travel as needed.
Coordinate taping, bracing, hydration, and other pre-game needs.
Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the Board of Certification (BOC) .
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
CPR/AED certification (Professional Rescuer level or higher).
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a competitive athletic environment (collegiate, professional, or elite level).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with athletes, staff, and medical professionals.
Experience with sport-specific injury patterns and treatment (please specify sport if known).
Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational habits.
Commitment to athlete well-being, safety, and high-performance culture.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and performance monitoring tools.
