Commercial Project Manager to oversee complex building projects from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities - Manage full project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality.
- Interpret plans and drawings with precision; lead all communication among owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Microsoft Project and three-week look-aheads with superintendents.
- Execute effective subcontractor buyouts in collaboration with estimating and operations leadership.
- Monitor material and shop drawing submittals; review and approve final documents.
- Lead and document all project meetings including OAC and internal progress reviews.
- Provide detailed monthly cost projections and update management on potential cost/schedule impacts.
- Ensure all contract documents are fully understood and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- 3-5 years of direct responsibility managing full-cycle construction projects.
- Proven ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with auto dealership or multi-story self-storage construction projects preferred.
- High proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting, contract compliance, and scheduling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high sense of urgency.
