About the Role

Targeted HR Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our client, a fast-growing construction firm specializing in complex commercial and industrial building projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong background managing large-scale industrial or manufacturing facility builds and is confident overseeing projects from $500,000 to $50+ million from planning through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead industrial and commercial construction projects from planning through completion

  • Provide both tactical and administrative leadership across all phases of construction

  • Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, schedules, and financial performance

  • Interpret and execute owner contracts, addenda, drawings, and specifications

  • Prepare and negotiate agreements, revisions, and change orders with architects, engineers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors

  • Lead buy-out efforts, purchase project materials, and manage procurement

  • Review, approve, and track submittals, RFIs, and project documentation

  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure accountability for quality, safety, and schedule

  • Assist with monthly billing, project reporting, and forecasting

  • Maintain proactive communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction

  • Mentor and guide project team members, promoting leadership development and accountability

  • Communicate complex or sensitive information with professionalism and clarity

  • Ensure adherence to all company, safety, and quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing construction projects of increasing scale and complexity

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial or industrial construction

  • Proven experience building industrial manufacturing facilities or managing projects $50M+

  • Experience managing projects ranging from $500K to $2.5M

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business , or related field

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project , Microsoft Office , and Procore

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, specifications, documentation, and labor coordination

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong leadership ability with a track record of building effective teams

  • Highly organized with exceptional problem-solving skills and customer service orientation

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, prioritize, meet deadlines, and deliver results

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial/manufacturing facility construction (required for top consideration)

  • Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors

  • Strong scheduling and budget management skills

  • Advanced proficiency with project management tools and reporting
