**Department Details**
This role is primarily dedicated to the Health Plan insurance service lines and is responsible for writing for a variety of health plan products and campaigns.
The ideal candidate works cooperatively with a wide variety of people, demonstrates an ability to adapt to continuous change in work demands and shifts focus smoothly and quickly among activities.
**Job Summary**
Works at the direction of creative leadership to contribute to creative concepts and solutions that meet the marketing and communication needs of the organization. Preserves the Sanford voice and brand. Uses business and brand insights, as well as analysis of a variety of complex health care business lines and services, to create impactful copy and content for traditional and digital channels. Creates clear, engaging content across health care, long-term care, sports medicine, and health insurance topics. Contributes fresh ideas to conceptual and creative strategy, tailoring messaging to diverse audiences and formats. Independently drafts and edits materials such as articles, print ads, digital assets, and scripts with attention to tone, clarity, and brand consistency.
Collaborates with project teams and management, listens to feedback without defensiveness, and applies lessons learned to improve future work. Adapts easily to shifting priorities, validates changes with leadership, and takes ownership of assigned tasks. Leverages strengths and works to minimize limitations while meeting expectations. Proficient in Microsoft Word and familiar with AP style.
**Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communications, English, writing/rhetoric, creative writing, or related field is required.
Minimum of two years of copywriting or technical writing experience is required.
When applicable, the employee must have a current valid Category II driver's license and meets all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers.
