Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.The CORE (Corning Optical Rotational Engineering) Program provides graduates a unique opportunity to gain hands-on, broad experience by completing a rigorous one-year program consisting of four rotations across various operations and engineering functions. This entry-level program, with start dates in January, April, June, and September, is designed for graduates with no more than two years professional work experience. Each rotation is intentionally created to grow your business and technical expertise. Core pillars of the program include project work, experiential learning, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities.
During the interview process, the hiring team will work with you to match your experience and interests with one of two development tracks with a focus on (1) Manufacturing and Operations, also known as the “Make” track or 2) Innovation and Design, also known as the “Invent” track. Potential rotations include Production Team Leadership, Process Engineering, Division Engineering, Planning and Scheduling, Development, and Engineering Services.
