Job Title: Cost Accountant

Location: Johns Creek, GA

Salary: $68K - $80K / year

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Cost Accountant. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory management, and cost accounting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in utilizing accounting software and databases to analyze and report on inventory data.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create and maintain ACCESS databases and generate reports and queries.
• Participate in month-end closing procedures to value inventory.
• Review inventory receiving for accuracy and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Maintain both standard costs and Bills of Materials for all manufactured items.
• Conduct periodic reviews of the general ledger and financial statements.
• Maintain procedures for documenting standard costs and inventory values.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts relating to inventory.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules and as deemed necessary throughout the year.
• Participate in plant Inventory Cycle Count Audits (some travel required).
