ASSYST is seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Analyst to support our client in Tallahassee, FL Location: Tallahassee, FL Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099) Position: Onsite, No Remote Work Allowed. Job Description - Gather and assess business information needs and prepare system requirements.
- Perform analyses, development, and evaluation of data mining in the Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment.
- Conduct data design, database architecture, and data management utilizing Informatica PowerCenter, Intelligent Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Catalog.
- Utilize data mining and data analysis tools including Power BI and Tableau.
- Review and validate data loaded into the data warehouse for accuracy.
- Interact with the user community to produce reporting requirements.
- Provide technical consulting to users of various data stores and advise on conflicts and inappropriate data usage.
- Prototype solutions, build solutions, prepare test scripts, and conduct tests for Snowflake data population, including data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and transforming data.
- Responsible for enterprise data modeling.
- Maintain knowledge of software tools, languages, scripts, and shells that effectively support the Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment.
- Possess strong data integration and data warehousing experience with Informatica IDMC tools (e.g., IDMC CDI, MI, CAI).
- Have strong experience with data integration tasks like extraction, transformation, and load (ETL or ELT).
- Administer IDMC platform, Secure Agent Infrastructure, and Snowflake Data Cloud platform for statewide adoption.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and skill in relational database platforms including DB2, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Oracle.
- Analyze transactional data stores and develop data warehouse models to optimize the warehouse for reporting and analytics.
- Possess experience with Redhat Linux application administration (e.g., security patching, managing disk filesystems, managing wrapper and auto-startup scripts).
- Have strong experience with IDMC Connectors to perform Change Data Capture solutions like PowerExchange and other widely used connectors (e.g., relational, ServiceNow).
- Assist with the development and maintenance of methods and practices documentation.
- Possess experience with IBM Mainframes COBOL, JCL, and DB2 analysis.
Required Skills and Experience: - Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience utilizing data management tools, business intelligence tools, and data warehousing.
- Extensive experience with Informatica PowerCenter and Snowflake is preferred.
- Experience designing data models for Business Intelligence tools like Power BI and Cognos.
- Experience with Informatica on-premises products like PowerCenter and Data Quality.
- Strong development experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
- Ability to prototype, build, and test Power BI and Cognos reports/dashboards.
- Experience with IDMC Cloud Administration and Snowflake Data Cloud Administration.
- Ability to ensure data warehouse metadata is collected and maintained.
- Experience with Informatica IDMC Cloud Performance Tuning.
- Experience with Snowflake Data Cloud Performance Tuning.
