We are seeking a Dental Assistant to provide high-quality chairside support and ensure an excellent patient experience in SE Houston.
What’s Needed:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Registered/Certified Dental Assistant (required).
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Proficiency in chairside assisting , taking dental radiographs, infection control, and sterilization procedures.
- Familiarity with Dentrix preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physically able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs, and stand or bend for extended periods.
- Dependable and punctual.
Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred, but not required.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties required for four-handed chairside dental assisting.
- Take and record vital signs; capture prescribed dental radiographs and intraoral photographs.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms following infection control protocols.
- Set up for each dental procedure, including instrument and material selection.
- Document patient information and chart diagnoses in Dentrix as directed by the dentist.
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative instructions under the dentist’s guidance.
- Maintain equipment, perform weekly biologic monitoring, and report any malfunctions.
- Support dentists and dental staff during patient visits.
- Participate in school-based and community events to promote oral health.
Details:
- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary.
- Pay: $17.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch).
Work Location: In person, Southeast Houston.
