Job Title: Digital Asset Manager
Location: Remote for the contract but hybrid IF it converts to Full Time 
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 2 months (high chance of extension or conversion) 
Compensation Range: $40-50/hr w2

Role Summary

My client's in-house Creative & Content team is hiring a Digital Asset Manager Manager to own how creative assets move from design to deployment across our portfolio of brands.

This role sits at the intersection of Figma-based design systems, asset governance, and DAM/MAM operations. You will work closely with Design, Brand, Marketing, and Clinical teams to ensure assets are consistently structured, properly tagged, compliant, and easy to find—turning creative output into scalable, reusable systems.

 You will be the day-to-day owner of Brandfolder (DAM) and iconik (MAM) while enabling modern, Figma-first workflows that support speed, consistency, and quality across the organization .

 

What You'll Do

  • Own the governance, structure, and day-to-day administration of Brandfolder (DAM) and iconik (MAM), ensuring assets are organized, discoverable, compliant, and ready for use across brands.
  • Establish and enforce standards for metadata, tagging, rights management, file naming, folder structures, and lifecycle workflows, leveraging automation and AI tagging where appropriate.
  • Orchestrate the ingest, organization, archival, and retention of raw assets, works-in-progress, and final deliverables, maintaining consistency across DAM and MAM environments.
  • Partner closely with Experience Design and Creative teams working primarily in Figma, Brandfolder, and iconik to support modern, Figma-first workflows.
  • Support design system workflows, including libraries, components, and shared assets used across multiple brands.
  • Define and document asset handoff standards, including best practices for exporting assets from Figma (icons, illustrations, UI elements, imagery) so assets move cleanly from design into Brandfolder without friction or rework.
  • Collaborate on governance for shared design assets to ensure brand consistency, accessibility, and compliance.
  • Enable and support creative, marketing, and clinical stakeholders through training, documentation, and best practices, improving adoption and day-to-day usability.
  • Monitor system adoption, search performance, and overall asset health, continuously improving usability, efficiency, version control, collaboration, and distribution speed.

 Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Act as a connective tissue between Design, Brand, Marketing, and Clinical stakeholders.
  • Monitor adoption, asset health, and search performance to continuously improve workflows.
  • Help scale creative operations by turning one-off assets into reusable, systemized resources across TAG brands.

 

Requirements - Must-Haves

  • 2 years administering a Digital Asset Management (DAM) and/or Media Asset Management (MAM) platform (Brandfolder and iconik strongly preferred).
  • Hands-on experience working with Figma, including design systems, libraries, and asset exports.
  • Strong understanding of metadata, tagging, rights & usage governance, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience integrating DAM/MAM platforms into creative and marketing workflows.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills; comfortable supporting non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and working within regulated or healthcare brands.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with automation or AI-assisted tagging.
  • Background in Design Ops, Creative Ops, or large-scale brand systems.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and design system governance.
