We are looking for a Director of Sustainability Projects, to help deliver energy and cost-saving solutions for our customers through large-scale, turnkey projects aimed at improving the efficiency of their compressed air systems.

This role serves to identify opportunities for improvement within industrial compressed air systems, including quantifying energy savings opportunities, identifying production improvement opportunities, and documenting these opportunities in order to underscore the impact for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for turnkey (or similar) projects at new and existing customer facilities, focusing on efficiency and reliability improvements throughout the compressed air system.

• Develop rapport and trust with customers to understand their needs, and planned changes within their compressed air system.

• Develop turnkey solutions for compressed air system installations, including the sale of new equipment, new and upgraded control systems and instrumentation, and all outsourced subcontractor work, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, professional engineering, etc.

• Quantify savings and impact of associated opportunities identified during compressed air assessments and leads the development of preliminary solutions for our clients.

• Work alongside leadership to streamline the process and go-to-market strategy.

• Lead the project management team with active projects, including vendor and subcontractor coordination, schedule development, customer communication, team communication and construction coordination.

• Lead the project management team through the execution of turnkey projects including set up and kick off, vendor and subcontractor procurement, customer communication, team communication and construction coordination.

• Direct management of 1-3 team members.

• Participation at times in project management or administration of current projects.

• Support workforce development and training, and other projects, as needed, to facilitate the growth of the company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Real-world, hands-on experience developing, executing, and managing large scale capital projects in an industrial environment.

• Experience with capital planning techniques.

• Ability to determine the best technical approach based on project, customer, and budget requirements.

• Ability to interpret, create and provide input on electrical drawings, P&ID diagrams, process flowcharts, etc.

• Has a flexible, practical, and objective approach to solving problems and uses strong, independent critical thinking skills.

• Familiarity with thermodynamic principles of air

• Organized, conscientious, and adaptable in work execution

• Perceptive and understanding in working with customers

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Self-motivated, capable of working in a team environment or individually

Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or similar

• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing or industry in an engineering-type role

• Ability (and desire!) to travel between 25 – 50%

• US Citizenship

• Valid driver’s license

• Must pass drug screening and background check

• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders
