Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Dry Plant/Equipment Operator to monitor and operate machinery and equipment at our frac sand drying plant which includes our drying, loadout, and storage facilities. This position may sometimes require you to operate heavy machinery. Training on the specific equipment utilized at our facilities will be provided. Your primary work location will be in Bainville, MT, with a new site scheduled to open in 2025 near Williston, ND.

In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of our frac sand drying facility, ensuring that high-quality dry sand is produced. You will oversee and monitor our equipment, perform regular inspections, and resolve any issues to maintain smooth and efficient processing and operations. You will work alongside other experienced operators, gaining insights into the job and safety protocols. This role requires a deep understanding of dry plant operations, equipment maintenance, and safety standards. A desire to learn new skills and work effectively with others is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage all aspects of the sand dry plant, including dryers, screens, conveyors, and other associated systems.
• Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on machinery while identifying and resolving issues promptly and ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Monitor production processes/equipment and adjust operational parameters to meet product specifications/quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production records, including quantities processed, downtime, and maintenance performed.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of dried sand for transport and manage inventory levels.
• Help with various construction projects and other related tasks as needed.
• Implement and adhere to MSHA safety protocols and conduct safety trainings to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and production and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Prepared to work in a plant environment with dust, noise, and fluctuating temperatures.
• Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical training in industrial operations or a related field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math skills for simple calculations.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and practices.
• Ability to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above shoulders; perform manual tasks, use hands to signal and operate equipment; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 lbs.; do tasks like shoveling and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, 8-12-hour shifts, days or nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call, if needed.
• Capable to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a plant environment with dust, noise, and fluctuating temperatures.
• Prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
