Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flatbed truck and manage the handling of goods while complying with all federal, state, and local regulations for safe driving and cargo security.
• Carry out daily inspections of the vehicle and associated equipment to ensure operational safety and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Navigate routes effectively with the use of GPS technology and traditional map reading to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to confirm delivery schedules and update on real-time variations to planned routes or timelines.
• Load and unload cargo with attention to safety, ensuring no damage occurs to goods or equipment during transport.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and drive logs adhering to DOT regulations and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide updates and ensure consistent customer satisfaction.
• Participate in ongoing training and safety programs to enhance job performance and maintain a high standard of professional development.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and undertake defensive driving to prevent vehicular incidents and accidents.
• Driver must be able to pull flatbed, specialized double drop flatbed, dump trailer, and dry van trailers.

Requirements

• Class A CDL required
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Accept Felons: No
• Failed Drug Screen: No
• Minimum of 12 months of Over-The-Road (OTR) experience required
• Minimum of 6 months experience with flatbed operations
• Proven track record of safety and reliability
• Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
• Physical ability to handle heavy loads as part of loading and unloading procedures
