Remote Position – Any Location with Great Wifi Works! About the Gig: As a Front End Developer, you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining email templates, preference centers, Cloud pages, and various front end functions to help drive client digital marketing efforts. This role focuses on Marketing Cloud platforms and template excellence using HTML. You spend your days building, QAing and customizing templates in support of delivery clients with multi-channel strategies. Qualified candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript and a basic understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. Your duties will include turning wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code and building high-quality UI components with scalability in mind.
A Day-in-the-Life: - Translate Figma designs for emails and landing pages into responsive, accessible front-end code using HTML, CSS (or a framework like Tailwind), and JavaScript
- Build and maintain web pages, landing pages, and email templates across platforms including Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and/or Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot)
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and backend developers to bring projects from concept to launch
- Troubleshoot cross-browser and email client issues (Outlook included — we know), debug errors, and perform routine performance optimizations
- Create scalable components, templates, and systems that streamline campaign execution and improve consistency
- Stay plugged in to emerging technologies and trends
- Advocate for best practices in front-end performance, accessibility, and maintainability
- Guide junior developers or non-technical teammates with code reviews, documentation, and informal training
- Participate in planning, scoping, and estimating front-end work across projects
A Successful Front End Developer will: - 3–5+ years of experience in front-end development
- Fluency in HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript (including modern JS practices)
- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite — not just inspecting designs but contributing to component systems
- Experience building responsive layouts for both websites and emails.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot (MCAE), or similar marketing automation platforms and proficient in the nuances of at least one of these platforms
- Understanding of how to code dynamic content blocks, personalization, and tracking for emails and landing pages
- Comfort teaching or mentoring others, whether it's teammates, marketers, or clients
- Bonus: Experience with Git, WordPress, Bootstrap, Tailwind, or templating languages like AMPscript or Handlebars.Experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
