Job Description

Gastroenterologist opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee 

Wonderful opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, surgeons, and dietitians, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care in a community hospital setting, level 3 trauma, with 560 full-time employees.

About the Position:

  • Join 1 Physician and 4 APP Practice
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal issues.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient history.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results to guide treatment decisions.
  • Manage chronic gastrointestinal conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancers.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education on procedures and lifestyle modifications.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to enhance patient management.

Clinical Research and Education:

  • Engage in clinical research activities and contribute to advancements in gastroenterology.
  • Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and advancements in the field of gastroenterology.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to medical residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
