Job Title: Histology Technician
Location: New York, NY (Upper East Side, Manhattan)
Pay Rate: $50/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Histology Technician to join a leading healthcare team in New York City. The successful candidate will prepare, gross, and process tissue specimens under supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to laboratory standards.
Responsibilities:
Gross small biopsies and routine tissue specimens under supervision of a Pathology Assistant and Supervisor
Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic examination
Perform embedding, sectioning, and staining procedures
Ensure quality control and compliance with laboratory safety standards
Maintain accurate documentation within laboratory information systems
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Science and completion of an accredited Histology program (Required)
OR Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Required)
NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License OR Certified Histology Technician/Clinical Lab Technician by NYS Education Department (Required)
2–3 years of experience in histology, including biopsy specimen preparation and dermatopathology (Required)
