The Catoctin School of Music is seeking a fun and professional part-time staff member to assist the administration team at our music school. This staff member will serve as the primary point of contact for our students, families, and teachers to ensure smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations.

Must have 20-25 hours of availability per week. 

The Catoctin School of Music is passionate about music and education and how we share these with our students. This is a challenging position that requires you to be a fast typist, self-driven, personable, punctual, a great multitasker, and engaging. This is an in-person position and is made for the person that wants to be in the middle of the action.  

Responsibilities

• Answer phones/voicemails, manage scheduling requests, and coordinate with the school's General Manager on answering student emails and CRM leads
• Support onboarding with follow-ups at key milestones and ongoing client check-ins
• Collaborate on social media posts, newsletters, promotions, and marketing materials
• Profile teachers for newsletters and social media, promote performances, and support staff communications
• Maintain studio cleanliness, signage, and supplies; decorate for holidays; coordinate repairs and vendor needs
• Assist with retail operations, manage stock, and handle sales
• Help organize and support recitals and special programs, including setup, photos, and teardown

The successful candidate will be an organized, motivated self-starter with a strong customer service mindset. A demonstrated interest in music and music education would be an asset.
