Physician – Obstetrician/Gynecologist – Night Hospitalist – Cooperstown, NY 

Overview:

Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Obstetrician/Gynecologist PM Hospitalist to join our staff.

The faculty practice consists of 8 Physicians, 8 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) and 6 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM). The Bassett network includes over 500 employed practitioners.

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated healthcare system that provides care and services to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

1. LDR model with Level 1 Nursery with 1000 + deliveries/year, with Albany Medical Center serving as our Regional Perinatal Center
2. Hospital employed position includes a competitive salary, paid malpractice insurance, and moving allowance.
3. 12-hour 8p - 8a shifts averaging 14 per month-26 weeks per year
4. 24 hours in-house anesthesia and midwifery support
5. Collegial working environment
6. Dedicated to teaching medical students and surgical and medical residents, with academic appointment with Columbia University
7. Integrated EPIC Electronic Health Record
8. Salary: $393,000 . This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good-faith belief in the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
9. Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000

Job Qualifications:

1. MD. DO, or MBBS
2. BE/BC
3. New York State Licensure
4. NLS Certification
