Project Manager (Levels I–III)

Communication Technology Services (CTS) is one of the largest integrators and managed service providers for enterprise cellular networks in the U.S., specializing in the design, installation and support of Distributed Antenna System (DAS), Small Cell, and 4G/5G Private Wireless Networks for Enterprise. We are seeking a Project Manager to support our Northern California market. This position includes regional travel.

Overview

The Project Manager role at CTS oversees the delivery of in-building wireless projects from initiation through closeout. Project Managers are responsible for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction. Depending on level (I, II, or III), the role ranges from entry-level with supervision to independent management of multiple large-scale projects and leadership of junior Project Managers.

Core Responsibilities (All Levels)

  • Manage assigned projects from handoff through closeout.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of Field Managers and assigned staff.
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and estimates.
  • Handle project purchasing, subcontracting, and vendor payments.
  • Track and report on financial progress using Spectrum and tracking reports.
  • Prepare and submit project closeout packages to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and safety documentation.
  • Maintain regular status updates, reports, and customer communications.
  • Interpret and work with iBwave design files to guide project builds.
  • Produce or oversee documentation such as quote books, bills of materials, fiber diagrams, rack elevations, RF plumbing diagrams, block diagrams, and link budgets.
  • Support sales and customer relationship management, including progress updates.
  • Participate in end-of-project reviews with management.

Project Manager I (Entry Level)

  • 1–2 years as a Field Manager (FM II/III) or equivalent experience.
  • Works under supervision of a PM III or Market Manager.
  • Learning to independently manage projects; expected to grow into the role.
  • Can complete iBwave designs for small jobs.
  • Developing ability to turn up and commission hardware.

Project Manager II (Intermediate)

  • 2–5 years of industry experience as a PM or equivalent.
  • Manages multiple projects independently within a market.
  • Proficient in estimates, project scope, and producing bills of material.
  • Capable of iBwave designs for medium-sized projects.
  • Skilled in commissioning and hardware turn-up.

Project Manager III (Senior/Lead)

  • 3–8 years of project management experience in the industry.
  • Independently manages complex, large-venue projects and/or multiple PMs.
  • Trusted to manage remote projects without direct supervision.
  • Expert in estimating, scope, BOMs, and iBwave design for large venues.
  • Provides mentorship and oversight for PM I/II.
  • Oversees financial tracking, WIP reports, and review packages for assigned PMs.

Qualifications

  • Progressive experience in project management within telecommunications, wireless, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of CTS products, services, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain professionalism, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Salary 100-130K Commensurate With Experience
