Property Accountant
Who: An experienced accounting professional with 3+ years of property accounting experience, preferably in multifamily or build-to-rent environments.

Position Overview:
The Property Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate monthly financials, managing CAM reconciliations, and supporting the broader accounting team. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly financial statements for assigned properties.
Post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and review rent rolls.
Oversee AP and AR related to property operations.
Manage CAM reconciliations and tenant billing.
Collaborate with property managers to align financial reporting.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Support audits and maintain compliance with internal controls.
Refine and streamline accounting processes for efficiency.
Maintain complete and organized financial documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
3+ years of property accounting experience.
Experience in multifamily or build-to-rent preferred.
Hands-on experience with CAM reconciliations and monthly close.
Familiarity with working alongside offshore accounting teams a plus.
Strong Excel skills and financial reporting knowledge.
Proficiency with Yardi or similar property/accounting software strongly preferred.
Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with strong communication skills.
