Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is currently recruiting one Per Diem Psych PBX Receptionist, Monday-Friday, 3pm--9pm to work front desk and assist with walking visitors to the units, property and answer phones .

Duties:

  • Ensures a smooth process at the front desk.
  • Ask for patient ID number over the phone before transfer of call to the unit.
  • Checks in prescription medication and ensures patient is still admitted. Calls the units for RNs to pick up medications in a timely manner.
  • Check email daily for events and updates
  • Print census at 3pm
  • Check in visitors, directs traffic, wands visitors, helps with property check in and contraband, will help educate visitors with the visitation process.
  • PBX receptionist will work closely with Nurses, Mental Health Technician, Supervisors and visitors in regarding visitation.
  • Resolve issues at front desk and notify the correct person or call house supervisor
  • Page codes over the intercom and document in binder
  • Help keep lobby clean and restock lobby
  • Complete daily checklist
  • Answer phone calls and ensure property is delivered to the units before closing.
  • Provide the best customer service to all visitors, vendors, medical staff and employees.

Requirements

Education: HS Diploma or equivalent

1 year experience in a behavioral healthcare/ or customer service.

Communication skills.

Flexible

Bilingual preferred
