Job Description

• Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs routine experiments related to specific research projects and participates in other activities appropriate for carrying out research objectives.
• Conducts experiments and collects data and provides routine analysis of data to the Principal Investigator (PI).
• May be asked to read and understand literature in the field.
• -Will have weekend and evening shifts as well as regular weekday shifts that vary week to week
• -Entry level position so candidate with little to no experience is preferred
• -Should have taken lab courses in their undergraduate science degree
• -Should have a strong interest in working in a lab setting
• -Will be working closely with biological specimens"

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, molecular biology, or a closely related field, to be familiar with research terminology and scientific techniques.
• Laboratory experience in a stated area of scientific specialty while at college/university preferred.
• Manual dexterity to operate complex equipment.
• Familiarity with statistical and research methodology is desirable.
