Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient

Specialty: Ambulatory Care / Outpatient Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Site: Hopi Health Care Center (HHCC)

Location: Hwy 264, MP 388 Polacca, Arizona 86042

Duration: 1 year contract with the possibility of 4 years extension

Shift Schedule:

• Routine Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
• Workweek: Sunday 12:00 AM Saturday 11:59 PM

License / Certifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license in a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Territory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required

Education:

• Graduate or higher-level degree (Bachelor's, Associate's, or Diploma) from an accredited professional nursing program

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Ambulatory Care.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in IV infusions, IV starts, and accessing PICC lines and/or ports.

Responsibilities:

The RN shall provide non-personal, professional outpatient nursing services within the limits of their licensure and HHCC policies, including but not limited to:

Clinical Duties:

• Receive, interpret, and carry out provider orders; administer medications, oxygen, and treatments.
• Manage therapeutic devices such as feeding/suction tubes, drainage systems, respiratory machines, etc.
• Assess vital signs, neurological status, weight, height, and other clinical indicators.
• Observe, document, and report changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
• Perform specimen collection (blood, urine, stool) and quality control procedures (e.g., capillary glucose checks).
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies; initiate resuscitation and emergency measures.
• Conduct patient education and health promotion activities.
• Follow CMS and TJC documentation standards, complete chart notes on the day of service.
