Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS) is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in Arizona to work Psychiatric Evaluations and Medication Management in a Short Term Care facility setting.

Service areas incorporate :

• Scottsdale, AZ

Responsibilities:

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Job Type:

• Part-time to start (3 days a week), with potential to increase to full time
• W2 Billable Unit or 1099 Independent Contractor Rates

Requirements

• Licensed in Arizona by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Arizona Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
• Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees)
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Skills

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience with EMR/EHR Systems (Athena I, a plus).
• Excellent written communication.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, organized and functions under stressful situations.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus!

Pay :

• $53 to $72 per Billable Unit
• Compensation via Billable Model
• W2 and Independent Contractor options are available.
• Compensation is determined based on the pay model preferred, experience, and licensure.
