Job Opportunity: Staff Accountant (Billing/AR-Heavy)

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a dynamic company seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant focused on billing and accounts receivable to join their team on a contract basis. This is an urgent hire to support a new and demanding enterprise customer launching over 50 brands on a prescriptive platform. 

Position Details:

• Title: Staff Accountant (Billing/AR-heavy)
• Type: Temporary with potential to extend or convert to a permanent position
• Pay Rate: $35–$40/hr (based on experience)
• Location: 1 day on-site - Boston, MA

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage bi-weekly billing cycles for a large client encompassing 50+ brands.
• Execute accurate and timely accounts receivable tasks, including invoice creation, delivery, and collections follow-ups.
• Conduct data imports into Salesforce and maintain accurate records across multiple brand instances.
• Track and reconcile inter-brand and platform fund movements, ensuring clean financial cutoffs.
• Handle pre-funding and refunding workflows and respond promptly to billing inquiries.
• Support general ledger hygiene through journal entries and account reconciliations, and assist with ad-hoc accounting operations.
• Quickly escalate issues and maintain a "drop-everything" responsiveness to client requests, particularly in the first 60 days.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a keen sense of urgency.
• Proven hands-on experience with NetSuite and Salesforce (strong preference).
• Experience in high-volume billing and accounts receivable within a multi-entity or complex platform environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for managing multiple workstreams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-accountants and raise flags early.
• Ability to remain composed with demanding stakeholders and thrive in process-driven environments.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Background in agency/platform or multi-brand billing.
• Experience in establishing or refining billing/AR processes under tight service level agreements (SLAs).
