Job Description

​​Preferred carrier of California is now hiring Dispatchers for our Chino location​.

• Responsible for communicating with the truck drivers and customers via phone or email to dispatch.
• Responsible for relaying work orders, route rescheduling and assisting the driver with any inquiries.
• Responsible for keeping track of the driver's location and number of hours driven to make sure he leaves and arrives on time for scheduled freight appointments.
• Dispatched drivers on contracted loads by relaying pickup and delivery information as well as routing.
• Minimizing empty miles, maximizing revenue-generating miles.
• Updating the board throughout the day with equipment and load info.
• Maintained professional relationships with customers via phone and email.
• Pre-planning your assigned drivers.
• Computer proficient (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Great organizational skills.
• Must have great customer service skills.
• Must have great phone skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 YEAR Experience as a Dispatcher or load planner (NO EXCEPTIONS).
• 1 year of experience working in the trucking, logistics, or freight broker industries.
• experience with load boards.

PAY:

• $21 to $23 hour.
