As a Cotton Portfolio leader, you play a pivotal role in defining the US portfolio strategy for Cotton. Your responsibilities include identifying emerging product segment needs, advancing products, managing life cycles, and exploring cost-saving opportunities. You will lead a cross-functional team to develop a three-year Cotton strategy, resulting in an annual budget and a three-year operating plan (OPC) focused on market share defense and value growth. You are accountable for Gross-to-Net pricing and market funding across branded and licensed Cotton products, effectively communicating pricing strategies internally and externally. Your role involves defining portfolio value, optimizing share/GP targets, and developing innovative go-to-market strategies. Collaboration with various teams ensures efficient use of funds, maximized breeding assets, and tailored solutions for Cotton in partnership with SeedGrowth, Crop Protection, CSPM, R&D, and Sustainability. Partnering with the Product Supply organization, you develop crop plans and supply strategies to meet key business metrics. You lead the cross-functional Cotton team to implement strategic in-season response plans, incorporating feedback from Sales & Agronomy. Your collaboration with Global CSPM, Global R&D, and Regional Strategic Accounts drives innovation targets and business strategies. You define value capture and innovative GTM models for new trait technology, creating opportunities focused on tailored solutions, differentiated RTM, and sustainability for business efficiency and Gross Profit growth over the next five years.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define the US portfolio strategy for Cotton, identifying emerging product segment needs and opportunities for product advancement and cost savings;

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop a three-year Cotton strategy, resulting in an annual budget and operating plan focused on market share defense and value growth;

  • Manage Gross-to-Net pricing and market funding for Cotton products, ensuring effective communication of pricing strategies;

  • Develop portfolio value capture strategies by zone, optimize share/GP targets, and innovate go-to-market strategies;

  • Collaborate with MX in portfolio development to enhance efficiencies in R&D and COGs;

  • Maximize breeding assets internally and through external opportunities;

  • Lead the Tailored Solutions strategy build for Cotton, partnering with SeedGrowth, Crop Protection, CSPM, R&D, and Sustainability;

  • Partner with Product Supply to develop annual crop plans and supply strategies to meet key business metrics;

  • Implement strategic in-season response plans with the cross-functional Cotton team, incorporating feedback from Sales & Agronomy;

  • Collaborate with Global CSPM, Global R&D, and Regional Strategic Accounts to manage external partnerships and define innovation targets;

  • Define value capture and GTM models for new trait technology, focusing on tailored solutions, RTM differentiation, and sustainability for business efficiency and profit growth.

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred;

  • 10+ years of experience leading teams or projects in Sales, Marketing, or a technical role combined with row crops experience;

  • Demonstrated experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships;

  • Expert ability to lead and influence key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities;

  • Self-starter who takes initiative to elevate ideas and concepts beyond traditional processes and standards.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $151,135.20 - $226,702.80 Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
