Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us "challenge the status quo" and transform the finance industry together.** Be part of Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR) which is a research organization whose mission is help our clients achieve their goals by providing accurate, clear, actionable, relevant, and timely research, tools, and advice in the areas of stocks, bonds, investment managers (e.g., funds), cryptocurrencies, financial planning, and wealth management. This role will be the lead analyst for SCFR in cryptocurrencies. Key responsibilities for this role include: + Conduct research on this asset class and communicate Schwab's point of view on cryptocurrencies + The research agenda includes topics such as: + Analyze price drivers for different types of coins + Impact of macroeconomic variables (e.g., inflation, interest rates, actions by the Fed) + Impact of news events on the market for different cryptocurrencies (e.g., regulatory activities) + Optimal trading techniques + Strengths and weaknesses of different methods of getting exposure (e.g., spot, ETFs, options on ETFs, and crypto-themed stocks) + Analyze topics related to cryptocurrencies (e.g., blockchain, stablecoins) + The communication activities include: + Written reports + Videos + Podcasts + Live events (both in-person and virtual) + Media appearances + This role will review communications to ensure they are accurate and consistent with Schwab's point of view **What you have** + 5+ years of analyzing financial markets with an emphasis on digital assets + Proven communications skills (verbal, on camera, and written) + Excellent analytical skills + Ability to produce industry-leading thought leadership + Thorough understanding of blockchain, DeFi, tokenization, smart contracts, Web 3.0 In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities. **What's in it for you** At Schwab, we're committed to empowering our employees' personal and professional success.
