Asgard Resources, located in Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana, is a rapidly growing company specializing in frac sand processing. Since 2019, we have become a leading supplier of frac sand to oil and gas companies nationwide. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for our Eastern Montana sand processing plant for day and night shifts. Experience in operating dozers & loaders is required. Operators will safely manage heavy equipment, mainly wheel loaders, to complete projects according to specifications, adhering to company policies and safety standards. Training on specific equipment will be provided. The Heavy Equipment Operator will work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Experience in operating dozers & loaders.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any issues to the supervisor in line with MSHA safety standards.
- Operate and monitor equipment safely and efficiently including loaders, excavators, and skid steers.
- Adjust settings to ensure tasks are performed correctly.
- Track equipment maintenance schedules and notify supervisors of overdue maintenance.
- Maintain performance records and document equipment usage.
- Clean equipment and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Undertake additional relevant duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of heavy equipment operation experience; specifically with dozers & loaders.
- Proficient in operating various earthmoving equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
- Physically capable of operating heavy machinery and performing tasks on-site.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good safety record, punctuality, and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and follow supervisor's directions.
- Willingness to perform heavy labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work a flexible, extended schedule, 8-12-hour shifts, days or nights, weekends and holidays, overtime, and call-ins, if necessary.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb stairs and ladders, and use power tools.
- Competence in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
- Ability to work in a plant environment with dust, noise, and fluctuating temperatures.
