Do you have experience in both laundry and housekeeping, and take pride in creating a clean, welcoming environment for hotel guests? We’re hiring a part-time Laundry Attendant/Housekeeper to join our team! In this role, you'll handle a variety of tasks, including washing, drying, and folding linens using commercial laundry equipment, as well as stripping rooms. Housekeeping experience is also required, as you may assist in keeping guest areas and rooms clean when needed. Friendly guest interaction is a part of the job, so strong communication skills and a warm attitude are important. Requirements: • Prior experience in both laundry (commercial or hotel) and housekeeping • Familiarity with commercial laundry products and equipment • Ability to lift 20 pounds or more regularly • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team • Comfortable interacting with guests in a professional, courteous manner • Servicing guest rooms If you’re dependable, experienced, and looking for a part-time weekend role in hospitality, apply today! Responsibilities: • Put all laundry in a washing machine and follow the manufacturer's directions for adding the cleaning chemicals • Check that all cleaning supplies are stocked and notify the general manager if any are running low • Take out the clothes and linens after washing and dry them following the manufacturer's recommendations • Verify that all laundry equipment is in good working order and alert the facilities manager of any repair needs • Inspect all linens to identify stains and remove stains with appropriate cleaning products and techniques Qualifications: • 1 or more year as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or a similar role is strongly desired • Impeccable work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills • Must be able to lift 20 pounds on a consistent basis • Good understanding of commercial cleaning techniques and products • Graduated high school, received GED or equivalent About Company: The Candlewood Suites St. Charles has recently been acquired by ARK Hospitality to manage this property.
