Essential Functions:
Typical Qualifications: Minimum Training and Experience
Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by three years minimum of mechanical maintenance experience in lift stations and collection systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work. Must obtain a certification for confined space entry within one year of employment.
Other Requirements:
Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a vehicle, heavy equipment, various tools, etc. Tasks involve the regular and at times sustained performance of moderately physical demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which involves the lifting carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 lbs.)
Language Abilities: Requires ability to read a variety of work orders, policies and procedures, maps, drawings, etc. Requires the ability to prepare routine reports, records etc. with proper format. Requires the ability to speak with and before others with poise, voice control and confidence.
Physical Communications: Requires the ability to talk and hear: (talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words; hearing: perceiving nature of sounds by ear.)
