Job Title: Permanent Insurance Coordinator

 

Location: Washington, DC

Compensation: $26/hr - $30/hr (negotiable depending on experience)

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Verify and process dental insurance claims and benefits.
  • Coordinate and communicate treatment plans with patients, ensuring they understand their financial obligations.
  • Work closely with the dental team to schedule appointments effectively and ensure treatment plans are followed.
  • Submit and track insurance pre-authorizations and claims, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates to patients and assist with financial arrangements.
  • Maintain up-to-date patient records in Dentrix Ascend (preferred) or other dental management software.
  • Handle patient inquiries regarding insurance coverage, payment plans, and billing statements.
  • Support front desk operations as needed, including answering phones and checking in/out patients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental insurance and treatment coordination.
  • Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dental insurance policies, claims processing, and billing.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor and a team-oriented attitude.
