Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, Human Development, Social Work, or related field
- Experience in assisting students to overcome barriers to achieve their goals
- Knowledge in Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS)/Response to Intervention (RTI)
Job Goals:
- To support students in their pursuit of personal and academic goals through in-school interventions
- To assist in the development of High School programs and structures to support personalization of student learning
Performance Responsibilities:
- Acts as a liaison between students and staff to advocate for student needs and concerns
- Works with classroom teachers and school counseling staff to identify and support students who need additional family, community, or school support to be successful
- Assists Administrtors in developing learning supports or student interventions
- Serves as an additional liaison with parents, particularly those whose students require additional supports to be successful
- Maintains records of student support and intervention strategies
- Collaborates with teachers, administrators, school counselors, and other educational personnel to identify appropriate interventions based on student need
- Facilitates Response To Intervention (RTI) team meetings to include reviews of student data, assisting in identifying school-wide issues, and assisting in the development of school-wide intervention plans.
- Prepares various RTI records, forms, and reports as required
- Develops and facilitates academic and behavioral professional development activities for school faculty
