Job Description

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, Human Development, Social Work, or related field
• Experience in assisting students to overcome barriers to achieve their goals
• Knowledge in Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS)/Response to Intervention (RTI)

Job Goals:

• To support students in their pursuit of personal and academic goals through in-school interventions
• To assist in the development of High School programs and structures to support personalization of student learning

Performance Responsibilities:

• Acts as a liaison between students and staff to advocate for student needs and concerns
• Works with classroom teachers and school counseling staff to identify and support students who need additional family, community, or school support to be successful
• Assists Administrtors in developing learning supports or student interventions
• Serves as an additional liaison with parents, particularly those whose students require additional supports to be successful
• Maintains records of student support and intervention strategies
• Collaborates with teachers, administrators, school counselors, and other educational personnel to identify appropriate interventions based on student need
• Facilitates Response To Intervention (RTI) team meetings to include reviews of student data, assisting in identifying school-wide issues, and assisting in the development of school-wide intervention plans.
• Prepares various RTI records, forms, and reports as required
• Develops and facilitates academic and behavioral professional development activities for school faculty
