GIC Private Equity

Technology Investment Group (TIG)

TIG invests across the lifecycle of technology companies, investing directly in growth-stage private and public companies, and also serves as a limited partner in top-tier technology funds.  TIG is a global team with a presence in San Francisco and Mumbai.  TIG’s mission is to forge long-term financial and strategic relationships with its global partners. It is focused on helping its portfolio companies, entrepreneurs, and fellow asset managers navigate opportunities associated with technological disruption.

TIG incubated and oversees GIC’s  Bridge Forum , a proprietary business development platform that has built communities connecting innovative tech companies with traditional industry stakeholders. 

We’ve partnered with category-leading technology companies such as Stripe, Databricks, Affirm, DoorDash, Figma, Grafana, and many more.

What impact can you make in this role?

You will be part of a team that is one of the largest, and most established private equity investors in the world today. You will partner with and invest in leading growth-stage technology companies. Our lean team provides the opportunity for team members to assume significant responsibility.

What will you do as an AVP?

• Evaluate growth-stage investment opportunities in technology companies across the world through financial and commercial due diligence, including financial analysis, management team engagement, customer and reference interviews, market research, and competitive analysis

• Develop investment theses on sectors and market opportunities

• Manage diligence processes and relationships with external parties

• Monitor and support the investment portfolio

• Build strong relationships within the technology community

• Lead and mentor other members of the team

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role? 

• 4+ years of prior investment banking, consulting, or investing experience. We are also open to candidates with technical backgrounds and operating experience.

• Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university

• Highly analytical and strong financial modeling capabilities

• Excellent presence and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Attention to detail

• Team player and enjoys working in a collaborative environment

• Highly motivated self-starter and able to work independently

• Proven interest in technology

Compensation
Our compensation philosophy reflects several principles. We strive to provide a competitive compensation package to attract and retain talent globally. We pay for performance, and reward sustainable results. Total pay for this position comprises base pay and bonus. The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $175,000 and $240,000. Bonuses, which may form a meaningful proportion of the total pay package, are determined based on company and individual performance.
